Effective August 28, 2026. Color Status Labeler is designed not to collect your data.

What stays in your browser

The extension stores the site origin, labels, sampled colors, pattern choices, and on/off setting you create in your browser’s local extension storage. This data does not leave your device unless you choose “Export backup,” which creates a file for you to save.

What we collect

Nothing through the extension. It has no account system, analytics, advertising, remote API, or telemetry. The public website does not set cookies or run analytics.

Page access

The extension reads rendered styles on ordinary web pages so it can find colors you taught it. It does not read passwords, submit forms, change server data, or send page contents anywhere. Browser-protected pages cannot be accessed.

Your control

Delete one rule or clear a site from the popup. Removing the extension clears its local storage according to your browser’s behavior. Exported backup files remain wherever you saved them.
